Description

不少旅行家早於五、六十年代已開始探索本地遊香港的可能性，也出版過不少旅遊指覽地圖作。這張結合中西式地圖筆法的1968年香港環島遊覽指南圖，由著名旅行家兼《海光》雜誌創辦人黎敏斐繪制，地圖上不但可以見到多個經典景點如赤柱、淺水灣、山頂和水塘等，還有一些消失的地標包括虎豹別墅白塔、太古船塢和糖廠、中環統一及灣仔杜老誌渡輪碼頭。作者以手寫字扼要闡明各景點的特色外，也補充了不少實用資料：巴士線、維港渡輪航線，甚至及觀賞景點的最佳時刻和位置，乃至香港當時的人口、面積、氣候、交通、土地利用方式及工農礦業等概況，讓人對數十年前的香港社會有概括的認識。
